This presentation will share the latest topics on the minds of L&D practitioners as it relates to measurement including executive reporting, informal learning, scrap learning, and business alignment. It will then offer practical best practices to begin measuring learning more effectively such as through smart sheets, automation, integration, actionable data, and measurement sustainability attributes. Examples will be shared, interaction is welcome and creative insights will be gleaned.

About Jeffrey Berk

Jeffrey is Chief Operating Officer for KnowledgeAdvisors. KnowledgeAdvisors is a human capital analytics solutions and technology firm that helps organizations measure, communicate and improve the impact of their people by better managing processes through reliable metrics. Its proprietary measurement systems and benchmarking expertise help companies more successfully manage their human capital and talent management investments.

Berk works closely with clients to implement the Metrics that Matter technology and devise appropriate human capital measurement strategies and tools.

Prior to joining KnowledgeAdvisors, Berk worked with Andersen for nearly a decade. While with Andersen he was the Manager of Benchmarking Services. He led the quantitative and qualitative benchmarking initiatives on a global scale for the firm.

Berk is also an adjunct professor of management at Loyola University’s MBA and Executive MBA programs where he teaches a graduate school course on performance improvement. He also taught the course for five years at the Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He is the author of the book Champions of Change: The Managers Guide to Sustainable Process Improvement and co-author of the book Human Capital Analytics: Measuring and Improving Learning and Talent Impact.

Berk has consulted with a diverse set of organizations in the U.S., Europe and Asia including Microsoft, Wrigley, P&G, Caterpillar, HSBC, Eli Lilly, and KPMG. He has spoken at numerous events on the topics of human capital, learning, measurement and benchmarking and has been quoted and published in periodicals such as Learning Circuits, Workforce Magazine, Fortune, IndustryWeek, T&D Magazine, CLO Magazine and The CPA Journal.

Berk, a CPA, began his professional career first working as an auditor before moving to consulting at Andersen then KnowledgeAdvisors. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago and degrees in business and accounting from the University of Kansas.
