    5-7 pm

Summer is the perfect time to step away from the day-to-day, soak up fresh ideas, and connect with fellow talent development professionals.

Join us for Sunshine & Success Stories, a relaxed networking event where we'll celebrate what's going well, share lessons learned, and exchange ideas that inspire our work. Whether you've launched a successful program, discovered a new facilitation technique, navigated a tricky challenge, or simply had an "aha!" moment this year, we'd love to hear your story.

We'll keep the conversation light, engaging, and interactive with optional networking prompts designed to spark meaningful connections—no presentations, no pressure, just great conversations with people who understand the work you do.

    Come ready to:

    • Share a recent success you're proud of.
    • Exchange ideas and practical tips with peers.
    • Make new connections across the talent development community.
    • Discover how others have turned workplace challenges into opportunities.

Enjoy your favorite summer beverage, bring your curiosity, and your best success story—we'll provide the sunshine (and maybe a few surprises)!

Great ideas grow when we share them. Come celebrate the bright spots of talent development with us!

    PROGRAM DETAILS

You’re doing great work in L&D, but you know you can do more. Like many L&D pros, you want to go beyond taking orders to work as a more strategic partner to the business.

The challenge? You’re juggling constant training requests, unclear expectations, and pressure to deliver quickly. Plus, your stakeholders seem perfectly happy with your current order fulfillment process. How, in the midst of these challenges, can you create changes in your work and your organization that elevates your approach and generates a deeper, lasting impact?

This session, facilitated by Jess Almlie, author of the ATD Press book, L&D Order Taker No More! Become a Strategic Business Partner shares one powerful mindset shift as well as the top four simple and practical behavior shifts used by learning leaders who have successfully moved from order-taking toward work as a strategic business partner. You’ll reflect on your current approach, uncover growth opportunities, and walk away with actionable strategies to take your role to the next level. Whether your L&D department has one person or one hundred, whether you're just starting this journey or looking to uplevel your impact, this session offers the clarity and momentum to move forward with confidence.
